Prelude talks straight to your server on your home Wi-Fi, and falls back to remote access when you're away.
Private
No adverts, no accounts, no analytics. It only talks to plex.tv and your own server.

Prelude is free, and there's no cap. Every playlist, album and artist you own can go on your watch. There are no adverts and no subscription, and I plan to keep it that way. It's built and maintained by one person in their spare time. If it's made your runs better, a coffee is the nicest way to say so.

Questions
Does it stream from my server?
No. Music is downloaded to the watch and plays offline, with no phone and no network.
My library is FLAC. Will it work?
Yes. Turn on "Convert formats" in the app and your Plex server converts to MP3 as it sends. Nothing on the server is changed.
Why is my Recently Added playlist empty?
Plex smart playlists report a track count but return no tracks over the API. Use a normal playlist, an album or an artist instead.
Why do I need my phone to choose music?
Browsing your library goes through the phone, but downloading uses the watch's own Wi-Fi. Pick music with the phone nearby, then sync on the charger.
What do I need?
A Plex Media Server with a music library, and a music-capable Garmin watch.
